
Armed with a gritty, commanding voice, Alecia Chakour brings together gospel harmonies, classic melodies and a psychedelic feel to create unique songs of love and struggle. She can currently be seen and heard as a member of the 12 piece powerhouse, The Tedeschi Trucks Band, and before that as a member of Lettuce and The Warren Haynes Band. Alecia is additionally a celebrated back up vocalist and arranger and has worked with a long list of legends and new visionaries including Chaka Khan, Leon Russel, Mavis Staples, Dangermouse, Sam Cohen and original members of iconic bands such as Funkadelic, Radiohead and The Grateful Dead.
Fiery, solid as a rock, Downbeat Award winner Alex Chakour is lead guitarist for Charles Bradley and the Extraordinaires, playing concert venues and festivals worldwide and appearing on such shows as Conan O’Brien, CBS Good Morning and Luke Cage. Whether playing guitar with Charles Bradley or bass with Sharon Jones and the DapKings, his deep groove and feel have been recognized by musicians and audiences as extraordinarily powerful. Alex has also played with The Eric Krasno Band, Sam Cohen, Alecia Chakour and Antibalas. He is the co-founder, producer, writer for Fashion People Records featuring the Amazing record by the band “Howard” .
Mitch was Joe Cocker’s music director, keyboardist and vocalist in the 70’s and 80’s. He has toured with The J. Geils Band, including a performance at Fenway Park in Boston along with Aerosmith. He played in the house band for Joe’s Place in Boston early in his career, playing with the best of the blues: Howling Wolf, Big Momma Thornton, Hubert Sumlin, Koko Taylor, Muddy Waters, Freddie King and many other blues’ greats. He has a diverse resume that includes dates with B.B. King, James Brown, Bonnie Raitt, Chuck Berry, Buddy Miles, Matt Guitar Murphy, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Peter Wolf and he also is a member of Shaboo Allstars.
Multi- instrumentalist, Cochemea Gastelum may best be known for his work as Baritone saxophonist with Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings. He is also a notable composer, penning 2 songs for their Grammy nominated album, “Give the People What They Want”; He has recorded and shared stages with some of the world’s most celebrated artists, such as Amy Winehouse, Archie Shepp, Paul Simon, Beck, Public Enemy, Daryl Hall, Lady Gaga, Sam Smith, The Roots and many, many more. You can also catch him this summer, as a member of the house band for the Gong Show on ABC.
