Zaccai Curtis Cubop Lives!

Grammy Award-winning pianist leading a powerhouse ensemble at the meeting point of bebop and Afro-Cuban jazz.

Zaccai Curtis is an acclaimed pianist, composer, recording artist, and producer, and winner of the 2025 Grammy Award for Best Latin Jazz Album. A native of Connecticut, he leads his own groups, including the Zaccai Curtis Quintet and Sonido Solar, and is set to release his new album Sonoluminescence in 2026. He has performed with artists including Christian Scott, Donald Harrison, Cindy Blackman Santana, Eddie Palmieri, Lakecia Benjamin, Brian Lynch, and Avery Sharpe. A three-time ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Award winner, Curtis is also co-founder of TRRcollective, a respected educator at the University of Hartford’s Jackie McLean Jazz Studies Division, and author of two instructional books supporting jazz and Latin jazz study.
